I am certainly looking forward to seeing Burberry's new flagship store at 121 Regent Street when I return to London next week. What a way to introduce it to the eager masses: Christopher Bailey himself.

Aussies At Fashion Week...LFW

Fashion Week for Spring Summer Collection 2013 is in full swing. Last week was New York. This week is London's turn. I love spying Aussies at fashion week. Aussies At Fashion Week...NYFW

Travelling so much these last two months has put me behind news and gossip of the real world; in particularly my other passion: fashion. Thankfully my bloglovin news feeds keeps my list of blogs and web magazines at my fingertips for whenever I find the time {and internet connection} to sit down with a coffee in hand and read up on all that is happening in the lives of the rich and fabulous. I saw this photograph taken by the lovely Candice Lake at the NYFW of Sara Donaldson {from Harper & Harley} and Magaret Zhang {from Shine by Three}. This moment captured makes me so proud to be an Aussie.

Shades of Blue in Fontainebleau

Ola Barcelona

Last year {click here} I made a promise to myself that I would attend the La Tomatina Festival in Spain. Well I did it! But my first stop was Barcelona. This summer sun destination most definitely needs to be explored at least once in your life. Two nights & three days later I was a shade darker; addicted to paella and spanish ham, and witnessed architectural beauty created by the heavens. I also left Barcelona with a pure belief that sangria o'clock should happen every day from lunch time onwards. haha 

Travelling tip: plan your days as you'll get more sight seeing done this way, and if you are looking for authentic local cuisine wander away from the main streets and find little intimate restaurants and cafes away from the prying eyes of the tourist. If you really explore this city like a local you'll find the best hidden treasures.

The British Museum

Being a newbie in London I am still in tourist mode. Everything around me excites me. The people, the accent, the buildings, the shopping, the music, the history. I arrived just in time for the Olympics so british pride was certainly everywhere. It's quite contagious actually; but I've always been a sucker for all things brit. I've been really lucky to have my friend Jane be my free tour guide, guiding me through the city, exploring my new home for the next two years. Essentially getting a glimpse of what makes London tick. I think the British Museum is a wonderful start at least; full of wonder, history, awe and mystery. I'm not just talking about the artifacts housed in the museum, the building itself is impressive.

Red Wine Fever

My friend Jane (you met her here) took me for a quick shop before visiting the British Museum {post coming soon}. I found my shopping match in Jane and I thought I was bad! haha. This is what I left with from Hobbs. Come to think of it looking at my last purchases I've come to the realisation that I have a slight obsession with one colour tone - berry, claret, red wine, ox blood - whatever you wish to call this flavour. Maybe it's simply because fall season has begun (honestly my favourite season). Once I go gaga for a colour I certainly go all the way. haha

Visiting The Queen

We've surprisingly been having great weather here in London. Which means playing the tourist card as much as this hot summery weather keeps delivering. I've been warned that the sheer cold weather will deter any touristy activities. So, I'm making the most of what hot days we have left. Crossing off another bucket item list - Buckingham Palace (in particularly the Victoria Memorial). Note to self - need to investigate if there are tours to explore the inside of this majestic palace. Let me know if you guys know if this is possible.
