Unexpected Surprises

My move to London has been full of unexpected surprises. Lovely surprises. For one the engagement and the planning of the weddings for two of my dear friends. Olivia, now recently wed, met her dream man when she moved to London...an english man. It was such an honour to attend their wedding here in London; an elegant, intimate ceremony full of love and happiness. Congratulations lovebirds!

The Globe

While exploring the nooks and crevices of this magnificent theatre you can easily see why the classic plays written by the talented Shakespeare has lasted all these years and will forever stay deep in our hearts. The globe theatre alone invokes romance and mysticism. Pinch me am I in a midsummer night's dream...

*update since I posted. I've seen three shows in this theatre: Macbeth, The Tempest, and A Midsummer's Night Dream. Strongly suggest you put this on your to do list for London. Definitely pinch me moment all round, plus you can bring your own food and drinks inside.

Photo Diary: York

Oh my goodness...have I been slack in posting. I have a valid reason...these past few months have been socially busy...exploring London, the UK, the world. Which have all been most beneficial for my two loves - travel & photography. Talk about full calendar. I think I've only had one weekend in three months where I was able to sit down, drink tea, sort & edit my photos.

Here's the first of many photographic updates; my spontaneous weekend trip to York. York is one of the last remaining walled cities the UK. Romans walked on these lands and built fortresses to make any enemy quiver in their boots. Despite it's military and political history York does have its beauties, magnificent cathedrals! Not to mention the scrumptious Yorkshire puddings are to die for for those food lovers.

Enjoy lovelies. xx

Electric Blue

London weather simply can't make up it's mind. It's meant to be spring, nay, it's meant to be summer next month yet it's still dreary and cold. The rain has held up and occasionally the sun peeps through the clouds. But when you see that glorious blue sky it certainly brings a smile to one's face. Just in time for some upcoming seasonal events in my calendar {Saturday's Chelsea Flower Show outing, and in two weeks Ladies Day at MINT's Polo in the Park}. Will you be attending? I'm currently surfing the racks on the online shelves to find my "next outfit". What to wear??

Here's my current inspiration...

Eternally Classic

The past three weeks have been go go go with work and exploring both Ireland and the serene Scottish Highlands {separate post to come}. Despite seeing such wonder, it can be a bit stressful trying to fit so much in a 2 or 3 day weekend. Therefore, I find myself this morning, a bright sunny (yet equally cold) Saturday morning demanding a lazy day with tea, chocolate, and catching up on my neglected online articles, this blog, photo editing, and pinterest for planning {online shopping and for future trips} all while listening to the classic pieces of Chopin, Debussy and company - a classically graceful state of mind.

Two In One

OMG! I am not usually a sucker for those in between youtube video advertisements, but I saw a quick makeup demonstration ad for Lancome's new beauty product: Teint Visionnaire - a two in one colour matched foundation AND concealer. About time! In fact it's a three in one as the inside of the lid of the concealer is a trusty mirror. Finally...multitasking at it's best. And we women know all about multitasking - we invented it. {Happy International Women's Day btw}. Of course I went out and bought one and even had a lovely British make up assistant do me all up. I've been using it for the last few days {as I had run out of my last stock pile} and boy it's light. It still allows your skin to breathe, plus upon closer inspection it also happens to have SPF 20 - you've become a four in one my trusty stick of magic. ha ha. Thank you Lancome

Grey In A Sea of Coral

As per my last post highlighting the fact that spring is poking her beautiful head around the corner; all I can think of is what is yet to come...blooms of fresh colour. All the pretty flowers in either its soft or rich shades. My current musings: blush, tangerine and a grey coat - a delicate mixture of warmth - both from the lingering cool air, and the  touch of the suns rays on one's cheek {wearing your grey coat as a cape is optional but #trending ha ha}.

Expect more outfit inspirations to come as I get giddy {like a school girl} eagerly watching the temperature gauge slowly reach double digits!

Spring Is In Bloom

As I walked home today from work I looked up and still saw sunshine. Oh yes, spring is slowly creeping up on us. It even reached 15 degrees here in London town. Me thinks it's time to plan those vacations involving sun, surf and sand. Hmmm Croatia...I think yes! In the mean time the sun and pending floral blooms had me dreaming of my spring/summer wardrobe.
