Year of Change

The year 2012 has been an amazing year for me...a year of change. I hope you all have had a great year, and thank you all (you know who you are) for supporting me throughout the year. I've had some ups and downs, some challenges, some laughs, but overall an amazing year. Here's to 2013!

Let It Snow

For days now I've been itching for it to properly snow here in London, but after seeing these magnificent macro photographs of snowflakes taken by Andrew Osokin, I simply can't wait anymore! The wait is killing me!

When I wake up on Christmas day I better see some snowflakes on my window sill. Here's hoping.

Christmas Runway

I'm so excited about Christmas that I'm mentally dreaming and planning what my outfits will be for the upcoming festivities. It will be my first cold wintery Christmas so I've had to overhaul my complete train of thought when it comes to dressing for the season. A much welcomed change from the summer heat back in Oz to chilling by the fire drinking mulled wine. Oh to be british.

What will you be wearing when Santa visits?

Jordanian Desert

If you haven't been to Jordan you must try it!

Just over a month ago my two dear friends and I thought we would detour to this relatively unknown travel spot before embarking on a historical Egyptian tour (post coming soon I promise). And what an amazing, breathtaking decision did you we make. Personally, I think Jordan outshone the more popular big brother - Egypt but that's for another post.

We were in the middle east for an epic two weeks in October/November, first stop, a week in Jordan. I knew very little of this country: 1) there would be desert, 2) there would be more desert, 3) the Dead Sea, and 4) Petra (in which I had told the girls that no matter what happened I was going to ride a horse just like Indiana Jones did in the last scenes of The Last Crusades - yep a little childhood dream of mine). What we found in Jordan was a truly magical place. The people {especially Talat our local guide from TravelTalk Tours - seriously guys this isn't a plug because Talat made this trip worthwhile - knowing all of Jordan's local secrets that no tourist could find in any Lonely Planet book}, the food, the landmarks. The Jordanians have so much to be proud of. Each and every desert mountain looked more magnificent than the last. So much vast space certainly brought peace to one's mind; allowing you to contemplate the path you shall or shan't take. I'm in such awe with you Jordan. 'Til we meet again.

Mac Holiday

Not having internet for two weeks due to my friends and I travelling through the middle east {post coming soon I promise} means extreme build up of emails. Eek! But when e-newsletters containing such treats as this definitely makes the wait worth it. Especially when today over my lunch break {yes, I found a day job to fund my nomadic european life} I was killing time at House of Fraser and thought to myself: "when that first pay cheque arrives I need to visit Mac and stock up on some goodies before the christmas and new years festivities begin". What timing for MAC to release their newest collection for the holidays. Yay!!

Mystical Stonehenge

Stonehenge was definitely on my bucket list to cross off; for the pure reason of its mysticism and wonder, in which you can certainly feel her magnetic powers. To believe such historic uncertainty still surrounds this landmark astounds me, but then again that's why we love her so. Why? How? We shall never know.

Notting Hill Treasures

It's amazing what cute little boutique stores you can find at Notting Hill's Portobello Road Markets. You may remember my last post {here} about these magnificent markets. Well I couldn't help myself and went back again. Hehe. With autumn now in full swing here in London I can't help myself crave another warm vintage style coat.

The Warmth of Autumn

Like I said in the previous post autumn is in full swing. By far my favourite season. It means frost covered spiderwebs and autumn leaves. Just the sight of it makes me warm inside. How magical.
